NETWORK SERVICE

We offer an extensive service between Queensland, NSW, and Victoria, with stabling facilities on the Gold Coast, and in Scone, Warwick Farm, and Nagambie.

Experienced drivers and a national network ensure on time pickup and delivery for our customers. Senders and receivers are advised in advance of these pickup and delivery times.

EXPRESS SERVICE

LTG has initiated an Express Service between Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.

We leave Brisbane and Melbourne on Tuesday evenings to Sydney, arriving on Wednesday mornings. On Wednesday, we leave Sydney and arrive in Melbourne and Brisbane on Thursday morning.

This allows us to move a horse from Brisbane to Melbourne (and return) in two days. This service operates every week and gives our trainers the opportunities to place their horses to best advantage.

RACE MEETINGS

A significant proportion of our week involves transporting horses to race meetings in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne and to all major provincial meetings in QLD, NSW, and VIC. Here our planning skills come to the fore as we ensure that all horses arrive in good time before their race, and are later transported 'home' again, often after an exciting win.

PADDOCKS AND TRAINERS' STABLES

Horses are moved daily to and from spelling paddocks and trainers' stables.

SALES

We service the major sales, moving thoroughbreds to and from the various sales venues throughout Australia. Please see our 'Coming Events' page for sale dates.

As a result of organic growth and acquisitions, LTG is now Australia's largest transporter of thorougbreds, with a fleet of 45 vehicles and strategically located operations centres.

BREEDING SEASON

During breeding season, our knowledge in the industry enables us to provide a valued service to the studs in Queensland, NSW, and Victoria. In major breeding locations, LTG offer a 7-day, 24-hour service to assist clients during critical times.

CARE FOR HORSES

Our drivers are highly respected in the industry for their horse handling skills. They provide a high level of expertise and care when loading and unloading horses.

Driving a specialised horse transport vehicle requires particular skills - drivers must plan each day's loading carefully to ensure a balanced vehicle; drive carefully to allow a safe and comfortable trip for their 'top heavy' passengers; and comply with Australian Road Rules and other requirements.

LTG's stable facilities are airy, clean, and comfortable.

Cleanliness is important in the racing industry, and our vehicles are cleaned regularly. We have wash bays on the Gold Coast, Scone, Sydney, and Nagambie. Vehicles are disinfected when necessary.

Horses are carried in the comfort of padded stalls that are adjustable to each thoroughbred's size and individual requirements. A travelling compartment is provided for handlers, with an access portal to the stalls so the horses never need travel unsupervised or in isolation. The safety and well being of the horses is our top priority.
